Coastal Color Stories Watercolor Workshop

Bring the colors of the coast to life with watercolor in this relaxed and inspiring painting class. From sandy shores and rolling waves to misty skies and seaside treasures, you'll explore loose watercolor techniques that capture the feeling of a day by the water. Expect plenty of creative freedom, beautiful color, and a calming experience that lets you slow down, play, and create your own coastal-inspired story on paper.

In this workshop we'll work from a variety of ocean and beach reference images. Using basic watercolor techniques we'll recreate the soft beauty of the coast - ethereal washes, misty skies, sea shell in the sand, a glowing sun.

  • People wanting a low-commitment creative experience

Why This Class Is Worthwhile

Starting art can feel intimidating — large canvases and long courses often stop people before they begin. Smaller projects help remove that barrier. You’ll learn real techniques, experience creative relaxation, and leave with something meaningful you made yourself. Many participants discover they can be creative and feel inspired to continue.

This Class Is Perfect If You’re Thinking…

  • “I’ve always wanted to try watercolor.”

  • “I’m not sure I’m artistic enough for a real art class.”

  • “I want a creative night out that’s different.”

  • “I’d love to make something handmade I can actually use.”
